New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan and GOP challenger Don Bolduc faced off Thu. in their second and final debate.

Thu.'s debate got heated: Hassan and Bolduc sparred over accusations made in their general election campaign ads.

On rising gas prices, Hassan said that she supported a federal gas tax holiday: "It would put more money in their pockets."

Hassan introduced legislation to suspend the gas tax in Feb.. She said Thu. that Senate Republicans blocked the measure.

When asked what he would do to drive down inflation, Bolduc said that he would push for more oil drilling:

Bolduc: "More permits, more leases. This doesn't empower the petroleum industry. It drops prices."

Bolduc: "Everything has doubled: oil, gas, food. It's her fault!"

On abortion, Bolduc said that he would not support a federal abortion ban if elected to the Senate:

Hassan responded: "He said that we should 'rejoice' when Dobbs overturned Roe v. Wade."

On military aid for Ukraine, Hassan said that she supported further aid for "weapons, expertise, training."

Hassan: "We do have to support a democracy that is struggling to repel a war criminal."

Hassan was asked about Title 42, a Trump-era health rule that allowed officials to expel asylum seekers at the border:

Hassan: "We have to know that we have the security resources at the border to deal with that surge."

Bolduc: "I would secure it. 87,000 IRS agents? No way...Needs to go to the border control."

On voting laws, Bolduc said that he opposed same-day voter registration, arguing that it causes "fraud."

Hassan stood by her support of the Freedom to Vote Act and called for non-partisan redistricting committees:

On filibuster reform, Hassan said she supported making civil rights legislation filibuster-proof.

Bolduc also walked back a claim he made in Aug. that Trump won the 2020 election. He said Thu.:

So, who's leading the polls? According to FiveThirtyEight's poll average, Hassan is leading Bolduc by 4.1 points.

Per FiveThirtyEight's forecast, Hassan is "favored" to win next week with a 79 in 100 chance.
