Here's a look at the wildest 48 hours of the 2022 midterm election cycle so far.

ICYMI: Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker is in the midst of a firestorm after an explosive Daily Beast report Mon..

What happened? On Mon., the Daily Beast published a report revealing that Walker paid for an abortion in 2009.

According to receipts obtained by the Daily Beast, Walker wrote a $700 check to an ex-girlfriend for an abortion in 2009.

Walker denied the report as a "flat-out lie" on Fox News Mon. evening: "They're making up lies."

But, hours after Walker denied the report, his son, Christian Walker, took to Twitter to refute his father's account:

Christian Walker accused his father Mon. of "lying" and threatening to kill him and his mother: "You’re not a family man."

Walker: "[You] had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence."

Walker: "You’ve lived a life of DESTROYING other peoples lives. How dare you."

Walker: "...how DARE YOU LIE and act as though you’re some 'moral, Christian, upright man.'"

Walker responded to this son's tweets Wed. morning, telling Fox News' Brian Kilmeade, "I love my son."

Walker also further denied the report Wed., calling it a "lie": "...whoever doing this, you know it’s not true."

Could the scandal hurt his chances this fall? It's unclear, but a Wed. 11Alive poll showed him trailing by 12 points.
