Difficult choices must be made as the season's secrets come out and grand plots are revealed in this high-stakes finale.

Cecil departs early for Genoa, stating he needs to complain about Danioni, leaving Bella injured and bruised in bed.

Cecil spots Lucian on his way to paint and chides him. Lucky for Lucian, painting gives him a moment alone with Constance.

In Genoa, Cecil meets with Signor Fanucci to sell the painting - it turns out he and Francesco were behind the theft!

It's revealed that this was a plot to get insurance money and cheat Jack and his cousin out of their share of the proceeds!

Constance and Lucian have an adorable tea party with Lottie. Alice spots their flirtation and is having none of it.

While they're playing, Alice snoops around Constance's room and finds some incriminating letters and photos.

Alice shows Lucian the letters, and tells him off, stating that she's an unfit nanny and romantic prospect.

Cecil gives a lame apology for abusing Bella, Claudine sees this and comes to Bella's aid, telling her to assert herself.

Alice tries to romance Roberto while teaching him English, but her heart isn't in it.

Cecil visits Danioni's home, and learns that Danioni and Francesco are cousins and Danioni knows of his crime.

Alice reveals Constance has an illegitimate child and wants her fired. Bella is horrified by her spying and judgment.

Rose thanks Lucian and gives Lucian a handmade postcard, saying that she doesn't understand art, but tried for his sake.

Rose says she knows that she's "boring," and he isn't into her. She departs, refusing to play pretend with him.

Anish is watching the scene. Claudine has deduced that Anish is gay, and approaches him. She advises him to tell Lucian.

Things get flirty between Cecil and Julia as he reveals that he now has enough money for their children to get engaged.

After Lucian hesitates to propose to Rose, Cecil berates him for his "damage" and wayward nature. Lucian gives in.

Rose accepts the proposal, but neither party is very happy. A distraught Constance runs off and is comforted by Bella.

The guests leave, with Anish heading off to join Gianluca in Turin, and the Count confessing his love to Alice.

Finally, Bella stands up to Cecil, refusing his money and refusing "to live by his rules," and turning her back on him.
