1. Pres. Joe Biden formally announced his reelection bid Tue., setting up a potential 2024 rematch with former Pres. Trump.

2. Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson formally announced his presidential campaign Wed., joining a heated GOP primary.

Hutchinson is the fourth Republican to announce a 2024 bid: Trump, Nikki Haley and Vivek Ramaswamy are also running.

Does he have a chance? Per an April Morning Consult poll, Hutchinson is polling at 1% among 3.6K registered voters.

3. The cast of "The L Word" stopped by the White House Tue. to mark Lesbian Visibility Week.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre invited the cast to Tue.'s press briefing to discuss queer representation.

Actor Leisha Hailey also took to the podium to speak out against a wave of anti-LGBTQ bills sweeping state legislatures.

4. Montana state Rep. Zooey Zephyr delivered a searing speech on democracy Wed. in response to a House censure vote.

The Montana House on Wed. voted to censure Zephyr after she spoke out against a bill banning gender-affirming care.

Zephyr made history in 2022 as the first openly transgender person elected to the Montana state legislature. (CNN)

5. South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol delivered an address Thu. to a joint session of Congress.

Yoon is the third world leader to address a joint session of Congress under Biden. (WaPo)

Yoon: "Korea is winning the hearts of global citizens. It is dynamic, freedom is thriving and democracy is robust."
