It's official: Liz Truss has won the 2022 Tory leadership contest and will succeed Boris Johnson as prime minister.

The UK Conservative Party announced Truss's win on Mon.: Truss defeated Rishi Sunak by 14.8 points with 57.4% of the vote.

Truss is set to be formally appointed prime minister on Tue. by Queen Elizabeth II. (WaPo)
