We're having cake for company and you’re invited… this holiday season! Lucky for you — Julia's doing all the heavy lifting!

Delighted to be here, Julia!

“It’s a lovely, light cake.” — JC

A butter bath for the cake pan.

Flour, too!

Add cake flour. “You’ve probably seen me do this hundreds of times. You’ll see me do it hundreds of times again.” — JC

Three egg yolks and a ½ cup of sugar = no match for Julia's elbow grease.

A lovely, velvety texture.

“The folding is really the trick to the whole business." — JC

Melted butter? Yes, please!

25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Open her up when ready.

A few drops of Orange Liqueur.

Add orange butter filling.

Brush with apricot glaze.

Coat with almonds.

“I’ll cut you a piece so you can see how nice it looks.” — JC
