Iman Amrani is back with Modern Masculinity series 3, focusing on men and mental health

Iman returns to King Koby barbershop in Leeds to speak with owner Neil Smedley about work, mental health and masculinity.

They met two years ago at a Jordan Peterson event and Iman went to interview him to learn more about his philosophy.

As barbers are required to close in both national lockdowns, many barbers struggling for work and money.

And as a result, for some mene the inability to earn takes a toll on their self esteem and mental health.

"I struggle with a feeling of ... that you're not really a man if you're not working."

"We don't even realise we're being conditioned. It's weird innit?"

"I was struggling mentally and just as I felt I was starting to get somewhere. I worry I'll end up in that bad state."

"Surviving something like covid is more than just going bankrupt. It's about learning to recoup then build."
