Former SC Gov. Nikki Haley formally kicked off her 2024 presidential bid Wed. with a rally in Charleston, South Carolina.

Haley's rally on Wed. comes a day after she announced her bid for the presidency, jumpstarting a heated 2024 GOP primary.

According to CNN, Haley is expected to travel to New Hampshire and Iowa in the coming days to campaign.

Could she win? Per a Feb. Monmouth poll, Haley is trailing Trump, Pence and DeSantis with 1% support among GOP voters.

A separate Reuters/Ipsos poll released Tue. showed Haley with just 4% support among registered Republican voters.

How did Trump react? Trump on Wed. released a statement criticizing Haley on several issues, including immigration.

Trump: "Haley is weak on immigration and does not support a border wall."

Who else is expected to join the 2024 race? Former VP Mike Pence told CBS in Jan. that he was mulling a run.

In her speech Wed., Haley called on Republicans to "move past the stale ideas and faded names of the past."

Haley: "Our cause is right. But we have failed to win the confidence of a majority of Americans. Well, that ends today."
