Cuyahoga County Council member Shontel Brown has won the Ohio 11th District special election primary, per CNN.

Brown defeated opponent Nina Turner by 5.7 points, winning 50.2% of the total vote. (NYT)

Turner conceded the race to Brown Tue. night: "Tonight my friends...we will not cross the river."

Brown is poised to win the Nov. 2 special election and fill in now-Sec. Marcia Fudge's vacancy in the House.
