As of Fri., Joe Biden has taken the lead in Georgia and Pennsylvania, putting him on the path to the presidency.

Biden overtook Trump's lead overnight as votes from Clayton County—Rep. John Lewis's former district—were counted.

As of Fri. afternoon, Biden leads Trump in Georgia by 4K+ votes; Biden's lead in Pennsylvania has grown to 14K+ votes.

Georgia announced Fri. that the 2020 presidential race would head to a recount. Elections official Gabriel Sterling joked:

Pres. Trump has launched legal challenges against several battleground states, falsely claiming election fraud.

Trump and his surrogates have shown no signs of conceding the race, as of Fri.

Biden addressed the election results on Thu.: "It is the will of the voters, no one else, that chooses the president."

Also, both of Georgia's Senate races will likely head to Jan. runoffs. Both races will decide the Senate majority in 2021.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi addressed the House election results, which saw several 2018 wins flip back to Republican control.

House Republicans have defeated seven incumbent Democrats so far. Democrats will still hold the House majority in 2021.

Pelosi told reporters that Democratic losses in 2016 Trump districts were due to Trump's presence on the ballot in 2020.

Also, Pelosi announced Friday that she would be running for another two years as House speaker.
