Young Irish Film Makers (YIFM) is a youth development organization, founded in 1991. The main aim of YIFM as a national youth arts organization is develop young people's personal and professional talents, skills and creativity. Delivery method of this aim is through the youth arts practice of film making and related digital media production. YIFM works with over 1200 young people all over Ireland in schools, summer camps, after school workshops and also through The National Youth Film School. The heart of the organization is our digital film making and production studio where young people aged 9 to 25 years are empowered, through practical training programs, to work with professional digital equipment to make films and digital media content.
