Everything started in 2005 when a young businessman born in Campania, after finishing his Master degree, decides to get closer to optics’ world. His idea was to create something different, unique and personal that could change wordwilde view about glasses: not a tool used to protect everyone eyes but a trendy accessory. So he started his researches. He moved to UK, he worked as optical artisan apprentice at one of the most important company in the world that produces handmade glasses. After he finished his apprenticeship, in 2010 he decided to find a new material, a very high quality material that could be unique and that could be accessible to everyone. In 2017 Sorrento Coast AOX was born. it is an innovative brand, handmade glasses made from acetate with a weight of 15gr and with a break point of 2.5%. Every product is tailor-made in each part, from the shape to the colour. This Brand became soon very popular among tv and sport stars, from football A league players to olimpic champions. Orietta Berti, a very famous italian singer, is one first to love this project. She became our sponsor, wearing one of our glasses during a TV talk called “Che Tempo che fa”, starting a fun sketch with Fazio and Littizzetto. In February 2018, the first Italian workshop opened in Castellammare di Stabia. After one year, a new store opened in Sorrento.
