Jeff Webb is the founder and president of the International Cheer Union (ICU), which serves as the worldwide governing body for cheerleading. Established in 2004, the ICU gained recognition as the sport's global governing body in 2016. Webb assumed the role of president in 2007 after his prior involvement with the National Cheerleaders Association and the Universal Cheerleading Association. The ICU, also known as Cheer, boasts a membership of over 7.5 million athletes worldwide. As a nonprofit international governing entity, the ICU is dedicated to advancing the sport of cheerleading and holds a proud membership in the Association for International Sports for All. Webb is considered senior news editor at Human Events, a longstanding news and analysis outlet based in Washington, D.C. The publication derives its name from the opening sentence of the United States Declaration of Independence. Originally established 1944 as a print newspaper, Human Events transitioned into a digital-only platform in 2013. Webb joined the organization in 2020, bringing his entrepreneurial, authorial, and business leadership expertise. Additionally, he serves as a co-publisher of the website alongside executive opinion editor Will Chamberlain.
