@marckorenberg
Marc A. Korenberg is a seasoned finance executive with a career spanning over two decades, marked by diverse roles in finance, operations, and leadership. Known for solving complex challenges and improving organizational performance, he has successfully led teams in multiple industries, including finance, business operations, and healthcare. His strategic insights and commitment to results have made him a respected leader throughout his career. Marc’s journey began at the University of Vermont, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1999. He later enhanced his expertise with an MBA in Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management.  After completing his studies, Marc began his career at UBS Investment Bank in New York. He was responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and strategic analysis in corporate finance. His work at UBS was instrumental in helping senior leadership make informed financial decisions, laying the groundwork for his future success. However, Marc’s path changed dramatically after September 11, 2001. Motivated by a deep sense of duty and patriotism, he left his corporate finance career and enlisted in the United States Army. He attended Infantry and Airborne Paratrooper jump school, eventually serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. His military service, which lasted until 2005, provided him with invaluable leadership skills, discipline, and the ability to remain calm under pressure—qualities that would later shape his approach to business leadership. Upon returning to civilian life, Marc transitioned to the private sector, joining a family-owned motorcycle dealership in Bear, Delaware. Initially working in sales, his financial background quickly became an asset to the business, and he soon moved into the finance department. His ability to improve financial systems and operations led to his promotion to General Manager for Sales and Finance. Marc played a critical part in the business’s economic success and operational growth in this role. Marc returned to the finance sector in 2012 when he joined Zeltiq Aesthetics, a company specializing in medical technologies. Starting as a Business and Financial Analyst, he quickly became Director of Commercial Operations. He oversaw various operational teams in this role, including marketing, sales, and customer service. His leadership and strategic vision contributed to the company’s rapid growth, and he was eventually promoted to Director of Finance and Operations. His work was crucial during Zeltiq’s acquisition by Allergan in 2017, and he received the CEO Award for Excellence in recognition of his contributions during this transition. In 2018, Marc joined Revance Therapeutics, a biotech company, as Senior Vice President of Finance. In this role, he played a key part in guiding the company through its transition from clinical to commercial operations. His financial expertise and leadership were integral to Revance’s continued growth, and in late 2023, he was appointed Deputy to the CFO. He has been instrumental in shaping the company’s financial strategy, including its merger with Crown Laboratories. Outside work, Marc enjoys following Boston’s professional sports teams and is committed to giving back to his community. He supports several charitable organizations, including the ASPCA and The Gratitude Network, which aim to help underserved children worldwide. Marc A. Korenberg’s career reflects his dedication to excellence, leadership, and a strong sense of purpose. Whether in finance, business operations, or military service, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead and make a meaningful impact.
