He served on the boards of several companies, including BJ's Restaurants, Del Taco, Famous Dave's of America, and Town Sports International, driving substantial improvements that underscored his deep investment knowledge and business acumen. In 2015, Restaurant News acknowledged his significant impact on the restaurant industry By naming him one of the 50 most influential people. In 2018, Patrick was named Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in New York, joining the ranks of renowned entrepreneurs such as Howard Schultz, Pierre Omidyar, and Jeff Bezos. This accolade was particularly notable following his successful rescue of Town Sports from potential bankruptcy in 2016, which saw the company's stock price climb from 92 cents to over $14 by 2018.
