Thomas McCorry has had a distinguished career spanning over 20 years at Constellation Brands, a global producer of well-known beer, wine, and spirits brands, including Corona, Modelo, Meomi, Robert Mondavi, Casa Noble, Mi Campo, and Svedka. During his time with the company, he held various senior financial roles and significantly contributed to its success through his expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.
McCorry began his journey with Constellation in 2004 as a Director. He quickly rose through the ranks and became Vice President of Global Accounting. In this role, he oversaw the company's global accounting close process, which involved managing complex financial operations. His leadership helped streamline financial reporting, cutting the time to close by eight days while enhancing the quality and accuracy of the reports. Additionally, he played a crucial role in improving global cash flow reporting, reducing preparation time by 10 days, and ensuring smoother operational workflows.
In 2012, McCorry transitioned to Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis for the Wine & Spirits division. He directed the financial strategy for the U.S. Wines & Spirits business, which had a profit of $2.7 billion. Two years later, he became Vice President of Commercial Finance, where he played a critical role in optimizing investments, implementing zero-based budgeting, and enhancing financial visibility. These efforts allowed the company to improve alignment between economic goals and commercial priorities, contributing to increased returns on investment.
In 2021, McCorry became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Beer Division, overseeing an $8 billion revenue business. He was instrumental in optimizing capital investments, successfully reducing planned capacity investments by $1.5 billion, and driving operational improvements. His efforts resulted in a substantial impact on margins and cost efficiency across the division.
Before joining Constellation, McCorry worked in public accounting for seven years at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Andersen. He has been actively involved in community service, serving on various boards and establishing a scholarship fund at his alma mater, SUNY Geneseo.
Thomas McCorry holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SUNY Geneseo, which he completed in 1997. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 2001 and completed an Executive Development Program at Dartmouth College in 2012. He is married to Jennifer, has two children, and enjoys spending his free time running, traveling, and going to the beach with his family.
