He played a key role in his school's track team, which won a state championship, highlighting his dedication and team spirit. After graduating from high school, AJ Eeten attended Illinois Central College (ICC) on a basketball scholarship, continuing to excel in athletics while maintaining his academic focus. He later transferred to Northern Illinois University, majoring in Physical Education with a minor in Spanish, broadening his educational and cultural perspective. Post-college, he entered the field of public education, working as a teacher and coach, where he made a significant impact on his students. However, seeking new challenges, he transitioned to retail in March 2017, starting as a manager at a T-Mobile store in Washington, Illinois. He was responsible for daily operations and improving customer service, demonstrating his managerial skills effectively. In 2019, Andrew moved to Stanton Optical in Peoria, taking on the manager role. This position deepened his expertise in the eye care sector, involving tasks such as customer consultations, inventory management, and staff training. By December 2023, he had advanced to the role of an optician at the Vision Care Center in Peoria, where he specialized in assisting customers with their eyewear needs and providing expert advice and care. Andrew is recognized for his exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and capacity to multitask effectively. His ability to adapt quickly to new roles and challenges has made him a highly valued professional in every workplace. AJ Eeten is dedicated to giving back to the community outside his professional activities. He volunteers for the Special Olympics, participates in the Polar Plunge, and supports cancer research through the Race for the Cure. He also contributes his time to the Salvation Army's soup kitchen and youth basketball camps.
