GIPHY has three great options to get your GIFs to play on Twitter. You can do one of the following:

1. Tweet a GIPHY link

2. Upload a GIF to Twitter directly from giphy.com

3. Click the GIF button in the Twitter compose box

--Tweet a Giphy Link--

If you share a GIPHY link (i.e. http://gph.is/2oX5hcq) on Twitter, the GIF will embed and auto-populate in the timeline, profile page, and in search!

Step One: You can also copy and paste the link for any GIPHY GIF to the end of your Tweet and your GIF will play on Twitter once you click on it.

Here's an example of what your GIPHY GIF looks like in the timeline and your profile:

--Upload a GIF to Twitter Directly--

All GIPHY GIFs can be uploaded to Twitter with just one click!

Step One: Click the Twitter upload button located on any GIF detail page. Make sure you're signed into your Twitter account. If you’re not, there will be a pop up to authorize your account. Note: Make sure you select “Always allow pop-ups from GIPHY.”

Step Two: Type in your caption

Step Three: Click 'Tweet' and your GIF will upload directly to Twitter and play in-line

NOTE: If you upload a GIF directly to Twitter from Giphy, we will automatically downsize any GIF to fit Twitter's 3MB file size restriction.

--Click the GIF button in the Twitter compose box--

You can now get GIFs in the compose box on Twitter!

Step One: Click “Tweet” then the GIF button on the bottom left hand corner.

Step Two: Type in your search (e.g. “Applause,” “Laughing,” “Popcorn”) or click one of the selected curated categories.

Step Three: Once you click on the GIF you want, type in your caption and tweet away!
