Costa Rican filmmaker, producer, and editor Jorge Mario Zuleta, born on June 15, 1973, is best known for his experimental short films like Frondio (2019), Soft Calm (2015), and Cuando Ella Vuelva (2018).

The eldest of three siblings, Zuleta was raised in San José, Costa Rica. His parents, Floresmiro Zuleta and Maria Isabel Arrieta, are a lawyer and chemical engineer, respectively. Zuleta is a father of three, with children named Rosario, Rodrigo, and Jacobo.

Despite facing difficulties in his youth, Zuleta successfully completed his secondary education at Liceo de Curridabat in 1989. Zuleta's academic journey began after he completed high school, when he enrolled in the Dramatic Arts program at the University of Costa Rica. He went on to graduate from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in 1999 with a degree in filmmaking, and also holds two design degrees.

His films have been screened at numerous official film festivals. Zuleta's creative interests extend beyond film, with a particular passion for music. He was formerly a member of the art-house music band Goats, which was published by Submarine Broadcasting Company.

As a teacher of art, film, and technology for over fifteen years, Zuleta has had the opportunity to work with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds to students of all ages.

OpticalArtInc. is an art project that was launched in 2009. The initial works consisted of simple forms of Sacred Geometry, which were then fertilized by the influence of Op Art. This is how the first Op-Art works by OpticalArtInc came about. This was expressed in static works of art, as pictures for the wall or as design pieces of furniture, but it shouldn't stop there. We set out to give Op-Art a different form of representation by bringing this art direction into three-dimensional space, thus creating the series of “Plastiques”, “Kaleidoskopic” and, ultimately, the idea of making Op Art movable. "Op-Art in Motion" was now the new creative area, from which the street art project "Illu my Nation" emerged in 2019, a representation of art in public space, it is what it is, immaterial and in the next moment already extinguished and in another Place.
