The development policy volunteer service weltwärts is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 28 from Germany who would like to volunteer for several months, usually one year, in a country in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Oceania or Eastern Europe (North-South component) as well as young people between the ages of 18 and 29 from the aforementioned regions who would like to do volunteer service in Germany (South-North component). For people with impairments/disabilities, the age limit is 35.
