The beginnings of the RHC Wolfurt lie years before the actual founding of the club. In the mid-1980s, ice hockey sticks and tennis balls were used to play on various forecourts. In 1987, people organized themselves into street teams, including Lerchenstraße and VS Bütze. 1988 one entered an organized championship of the "street teams" in the area Bregenz, Lochau, Lustenau and the Hofsteiggemeinden, played on parking lots of various companies. On 17.10.1990 the club foundation of the RHC Wolfurt took place. The two street teams Bütze and Lerchenstraße joined together to form the RHC Wolfurt. Two (competing) teams were formed, RHC Wolfurt 1 (Bütze) and RHC Wolfurt 2 (Lerchenstraße). In the same year, the roller hockey pitch on the Ach was built, with discarded railroad sleepers serving as the boards. The first sporting successes came early, both teams were able to win the Vorarlberg championship once each (RHCW1: 1990/91, RHCW2: 1992/93). The RHC Wolfurt is also well prepared for the future. A project (RHCW 2030) was set up that deals with various topics, including youth development, sporting development, marketing / sponsorship, etc..
