Traveling with my family always involves a lot of moving parts, keeping the kids entertained, managing luggage, and staying on schedule. On our recent trip through Orlando International Airport , I was grateful for the Orlando Airport Smoking Area, which provided a much-needed moment of peace before our flight. Located just outside Terminal B on both arrival and departure levels, the smoking area was easy to find thanks to the clear signage. What I appreciated most was that it was far enough from the entrance to avoid disturbing other travelers but still close enough that I didn’t feel like I was going out of my way. My partner stayed with the kids while I stepped outside for a short break, and the benches provided a comfortable place to sit and decompress. The area was clean, well-maintained, and felt safe, even in the early morning hours. Returning to the terminal was simple, and we still had plenty of time to grab snacks and head to our gate. As someone who smokes occasionally, the availability of a designated and clean Orlando Airport really helped lower my stress level during our family travel day. It’s small details like this that show the airport cares about all its passengers, including smokers.
