Dempsey Center was founded in 2009 by actor Patrick Dempsey in his hometown of Lewiston, Maine. After his mother's journey with cancer, Patrick saw a need for no cost support services to patients, cancer survivors, their care partners, family, and friends. Today, the Dempsey Center serves thousands of people impacted by cancer at their locations in Lewiston and South Portland, Maine and virtually via Dempsey Connects.
