Shanley, the founder of Djamu, was born in Indonesia. She grew up in her parent’s garment factory in Bandung, West Java. Shanley’s mother and grandparents are also herbal pharmacists who successfully created herbal medicine for dengue fever in Indonesia. Shanley grew up testing and drinking many kinds of South Asian medicine & herbal tonic that her mother created. From there, Shanley has always been interested in developing her own herbal tonic to help people to elevate their healthy lifestyle. She moved to the USA when she was a teenager for school and has worked in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Belgium as Head Designer and Creative Director for many design corporations. During the pandemic, Shanley constantly made and distributed Djamu with the strong belief her Djamu will help many people to elevate their immunity systems against Covid-19.
