Yayasan Ekosistim Nusantara Berkelanjutan (EcoNusa Foundation) is a nonprofit organization aiming to promote to sustainable and equitable management of natural resources in Indonesia by strengthening local initiatives. To do this, EcoNusa encourages the development and capacity building of civil society groups, working with them to develop strategies for advocacy, campaigns, communications and stakeholder engagement. EcoNusa also promotes dialogue among stakeholders, to advance sustainable natural resources management and at the same time promotes equality, conservation, and transparency. The foundation was officially founded on July 21, 2017 and is based in Jakarta. EcoNusa Foundation bridges communication among stakeholders in Eastern Indonesia (Tanah Papua and Maluku). We aim to optimize the best practice of environmental protection and sustainable natural resources management based on equitable principles through concrete activities along with the local communities. We also introduce the sovereignty values of natural resource management and conservation to policymakers at the regional and national levels.
