League of Legends, arguably the premier MOBA for PC, is now on mobile. As such, we'll likely see the game continue to expand both in terms of features and in terms of new champions. With all the hype from all the LoL Championship events in the summer, we're finally starting to see what the developers have in store for us. While I don't follow competitive play myself, I've been keeping tabs on the champions during the summer in preparation for this release. Here's a list of a few champions to keep an eye out for in League of Legends: Season 3 and Patch 3.14. Azir: The Dragon Knight | The most iconic champion in LoL, Azir has been the subject of intense debate as to whether or not he is overpowered. A few years ago, Azir was simply a support who fed. Now he's got items like Blade of the Ruined King and a few more interesting items in the kit. The problem with Azir is that he's almost exclusively picked by his champion, Ryze, who is a support. Azir is good, but he's got nothing to fall back on if Ryze misses. If you're a fan of Ryze or Azir, the addition of a new champion is exciting. If you're not, you might want to give him a pass. Ahri: The Vampiric Summoner | The other big competitive-pick from the preseason, Ahri is not to be ignored. She can be a terrifying presence in a team fight, but her greatest strength is her laning. Ahri has some incredibly powerful ultimates that can help her scale from early game to mid-game to late game. Her biggest weakness is that she doesn't have any real early game damage unless you invest in offensive items. A few months ago she would've been a great pick, but now, with new kits for both her and her allies, she's not as good a pick. Ahri can be an absolute terror if you've picked her correctly, but if you don't have the right kit in place for her, she'll just be average. Fizz: The Fizz Show | Fizz is one of the greatest champions in League of Legends. I mean, have you ever seen what he can do? He's a very mobile and a very powerful champion. His kit is incredibly unique and is perfect for the mid lane. Fizz is one of the best champions in the game and his kits are always changing. A few months ago, he'd only have his Q as a damage tool. Now he's got some damage on his Q. There's always going to be a new item or new itemization in the game, so it's just a matter of time before Fizz gets another rework.
