For Lowen, the journey into music began years ago writing songs, exploring creative identity and expression. She drove around in a run-down van, slinging cover songs in bars around town 4-5 nights a week in between tours, and sleeping on air mattresses, all for the sake of finding “it.” This pace led to feeling overworked and under inspired. She was then hit with heart break like no other that was followed by a love that blossomed and transformed her life. She took a sabbatical, selling her belongings and setting out on a backpacking journey that would take her around the world for a year before moving back to the US. Truly awakened and now planted in Nashville, TN, the past few years have been rich in highs as well as lows. She’d quickly gone from living out of a backpack, to domestic life, and with a new perspective, began to reconnect with her unique strengths in music while working on other projects she used to only dream about. It wasn't too long before she was ready to forge her own artist path again. For the past year, Lowen has been writing, and finding her own voice, creating music that is more true to herself than ever before. 2019 is the year of honesty, new music and the year of Lowen in her best form.
