Ediz Anavi was born in in Istanbul, Turkey. In a unique setting like Istanbul where many diverse cultures collide he was always attracted to look from different perspectives to his surroundings. This led him to pursue a passion in film and production industry apart from his studies. During his industrial engineering years at college, he aimed to find a way to use his passion and his technical knowledge together to create. While studying he worked in advertisement companies for 2 years and created multiple projects. After graduation, he knew that he was on right track and joined Pomus, a creative production company in Istanbul. His first short film Barber’s Cut, is a stop motion animation which uses alternative filming techniques. His first creation turned out to be another passion for him. Nowadays he use different stop motion techniques in commercials.
