Ocean plastic is a waste infrastructure problem. Pretty boring, right? And so are the solutions: collection systems. Bins. Recycling facilities. But boring works. By connecting households to proper waste infrastructure, we keep plastic in the system and out of the sea. Not after it gets there. Before. We build these systems where there are none. Our Plastic Keepers, the wonderful people living in Indonesia, are the ones making it happen: they collect and sort household plastic, and protecting the vibrancy of the sea.
