Nicole Metz has more than 30 years of experience in Human Resources, supporting Fortune 500 companies, small government contractors, and for 8 years, managing her own consulting firm. She served as Senior Director of Talent Management Intelligence Group for a corporation in Chantilly, Virginia, where she worked closely with senior executives on talent strategies and organizational goals. Her work included coaching, career development, new manager assimilation, redeployment, succession planning, personnel development, and promoting diversity and inclusion.
She contributed to performance management by setting expectations, tracking results, shaping proposals, guiding organizational design, and developing capabilities. Her role also covered employee relations, reporting, metrics, redeployment, and Reductions in Force. She directed a team of staffing and talent managers and created the company’s first redeployment guide, which became a valuable resource for employees exploring new opportunities.
Earlier, she spent eight years with a corporation in McLean, Virginia, first as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and later as Director of Talent Development & Management. In these positions, she supported the growth of program managers and IT professionals, provided training across the business, and earned President’s Club recognition three years in a row.
Her career also included leadership roles with a communications company in Reston, Virginia, and a technology firm in Germantown, Maryland. She began her career at a global corporation in Federal Sales, later transitioning into training, where she instructed over 750 representatives, achieved 100% student satisfaction for two consecutive years, and trained top performers. She went on to become Sales Training Program Manager and contributed as a member of the People Development Board.
Her honors include the Aspire Award, Business Unit General Managers Award, People First Award, Strategic Vision Award, recognition as an Outstanding Performer, and five President’s Club awards.
She is a member of SHRM and ASTD and has volunteered in youth sports, church activities, STEM programs, and as a driver for cancer patients. A former competitive athlete, she graduated with honors from Marymount University. She enjoys reading, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her husband, a service-disabled veteran, and their four children.
