Bahçeşehir Koleji continued its achievements with the establishment of its professional men’s basketball team, founded in June 2017 under the Bahçeşehir Schools Sports Club Association, competing in the Turkish Basketball League.
Bringing a new vision and a fresh breath to the basketball community, the Bahçeşehir Koleji Basketball Team quickly became one of the most notable clubs in Turkish basketball with its fair-play-oriented sports approach focused on developing the game.
The club, which became the 2017–2018 Federation Cup Champion, reached the Playoff Finals in its very first year and earned promotion to the Basketball Super League. Competing in the top league for the first time in the 2018–2019 season, Bahçeşehir Koleji secured the right to participate in European competitions the following year and took part in the FIBA Europe Cup.
In the 2019–2020 season, Bahçeşehir Koleji competed in both the ING Basketball Super League and the FIBA Europe Cup, and with its fair play basketball and strong performances, advanced to the semi-finals of the European tournament. After the cancellation of both competitions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team accelerated its progress in the 2020–2021 season, receiving an invitation to the prestigious 7DAYS EuroCup, and continued to take another step forward each year. In the 2021–2022 season, the team returned to the FIBA Europe Cup, completed the season undefeated, and brought home the first European trophy in its history.
Starting the 2023–2024 season with the goal of winning the FIBA Europe Cup once again, Bahçeşehir Koleji reached the finals and ended the season as one of Europe’s top-performing teams. In the 2024–2025 season, the Red Dragons rejoined the EuroLeague family by participating in the BKT EuroCup, and continued their rise on the European stage by reaching the semi-finals of the competition.
