Managing school, sports, and service can be overwhelming for most students, yet Ayden Hector has demonstrated the ability to thrive in each. His success is built on a combination of talent, work ethic, and resilience. From earning honors in the classroom to becoming a reliable defensive back and dedicating time to local causes, Hector continues to balance responsibility with passion while making an impact on his community.
He began this journey at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish, Washington, where he attended for four years before graduating in 2020. Hector was named to the honor roll each year and built a reputation as a dedicated student and athlete. His experiences provided him with valuable academic knowledge, technical skills in Microsoft programs, and opportunities to volunteer. His athletic success also earned him multiple all-state football selections.
Hector’s next step brought him to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he is majoring in business. Drawn to the mountain environment and a welcoming community, he has continued to excel academically while balancing the responsibilities of a student-athlete. His focus has kept him on track to graduate ahead of schedule in December 2023, demonstrating his determination to achieve goals and prepare for his future career.
As a member of the Colorado State Rams football team, Hector has become a standout performer. In 2022, he made 24 tackles and three interceptions in only seven games, earning all-conference honors. One of his most memorable games included eight tackles, an interception, and a touchdown return. With three years of eligibility remaining, he looks forward to further growth and contributing to the program's continued success.
Community service has been a defining part of Hector’s life. In high school, he founded B.Box, a program delivering birthday boxes to homeless teens, and he continues that effort through Colorado State’s campus food pantry. He also volunteers with Pick 6, Relay for Life, and Tent City. His dedication to giving back earned him a nomination for the All-American Bowl's “Man of the Year” award, recognizing his lasting impact on the community.
When not focused on school, football, or volunteering, Hector enjoys staying active and spending time with loved ones. He enjoys the outdoors, engaging in activities such as skiing in the winter, water skiing in the summer, and regular games of basketball. With achievements across academics, athletics, and service, Hector has developed a strong foundation for success that will extend far beyond his college years.
