Howard Coff has built a career centered on practical leadership, careful decision-making, and a commitment to serving others. Alongside his wife, he founded and operated a Visiting Angels home-care agency in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. From its beginning in 2004 until its sale in 2019, he played an active role in guiding the business. Over the years, the agency became a trusted resource for families seeking dependable care for loved ones and grew into an important part of the local community. Leading the franchise required involvement in many areas, including recruitment, staff development, financial management, and community engagement. Howard's approach focused on creating stable systems that enabled the organization to function effectively in a field often marked by urgency and complexity. In 2015, the agency received the Zenith Award and was recognized as one of the top private-duty home-care providers among more than 450 franchises nationwide. This achievement reflected years of consistent effort and a standard of care that earned families' confidence. Howard's work was shaped by direct interaction with clients, caregivers, and community members. This experience gave him a clear understanding of the support families needed and helped him build a team dedicated to providing reliable service. He emphasized operational efficiency and financial responsibility, creating an environment where caregivers could focus on those they served. Over the years of his ownership, he gained valuable insights into managing risk, recognizing opportunities, and fostering professional growth in the workplace. After selling the business in 2019, Howard chose to share his experience with aspiring entrepreneurs. Since 2017, he has volunteered with SCORE, the national organization affiliated with the Small Business Administration, where he serves as a certified mentor. He often works with individuals entering the home care industry, offering guidance based on his fifteen years as a franchise owner. His mentorship focuses on practical solutions for business planning, operations, and financial management. Beyond business, he has remained committed to community service. Together with his wife, he volunteered for many years at the June Fete, an annual fundraiser supporting Abington Hospital, now part of Jefferson Health. The event helps fund programs that benefit patients throughout the community. Howard Coff continues to apply his experience in business, mentorship, and community involvement, demonstrating a lasting commitment to helping others grow, succeed, and make a positive impact.
