Launched in Istanbul, Turkey in June 2018, smartPulse is a cloud native SaaS/PaaS solution for short term trading & management of electricity that builds on event driven architecture for automated process management and algorithmic trading. It provides an end-to-end solution for trading, (generation and demand) forecasting and operational monitoring, including a self-developed IoT hardware. The platform helps with the digitalization of energy transition by mainly, (1) Enhanced the feasibility of renewables by decreasing the imbalance costs and OPEX as less staff is required, (2) Enabling renewables on the grid by easing the workload on grid operator and decreasing the total costs of system operation, and (3) Promoting value of flexibility through increasing the profit margin of flexible assets.
