Jason is also recognized for his commitment to philanthropy, using his resources and platforms to support various charitable causes. For over 30 years, he has worked at the intersection of media, luxury, and celebrity culture. Before founding DuJour Media, Binn established Niche Media in 1992, producing publications showcasing various cities' interests and lifestyles. His magazines reached readers in many locations with titles including Aspen Peak, Boston Common, Capitol File, Hamptons, Ocean Drive, Gotham, Los Angeles Confidential, Michigan Avenue, Philadelphia Style, and Vegas. These publications helped define luxury regional publishing and strengthened his role within the industry. Through these city-focused publications, Binn connected with communities while ensuring each magazine reflected the character of its location, including Miami, the Hamptons, and New York City. Niche Media also developed a custom publishing division that produced materials for Art Basel Miami Beach, Wynn Las Vegas, and the Short Hills Mall on behalf of the Taubman real estate organization. Expanding Niche Media into a national platform and selling the company were significant milestones in his career. In 2006, he sold Niche Media to Greenspun Media Group while continuing as CEO. In 2007, Greenspun Media Group acquired Ocean Drive Media Group, which he co-owned and founded. He continued to lead operations and management until his resignation in 2010. In 2012, Binn founded DuJour Media, which reaches high-net-worth audiences through digital platforms, print publications, and live events. DuJour's continued growth reflects his commitment to understanding his audience while sharing stories that follow trends and culture. His work with brands and public figures has supported DuJour’s influence in luxury media. His leadership at DuJour has earned industry recognition, including honors at the Webby Awards. His ability to build platforms that connect business, entertainment, and philanthropy has been recognized with the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year Award,” Crain’s “40 Under 40,” and recognition from Forbes and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. DuJour recently celebrated its 13th anniversary, marking its ongoing impact in luxury publishing. Last year, Jason and his team hosted an event at The Hard Rock Hotel in New York featuring a cover star. In March 2025, he led another event in New York City for DuJour’s Spring cover, which featured an actress. Philanthropy remains an integral part of his personal and professional life. He has supported causes focused on health, children, and community needs, using his platforms to raise awareness for these efforts. He also co-founded the Binn Animal Rescue and Sanctuary Charitable Foundation to help animals facing neglect and cruelty. Binn was born in Roslyn Harbor, New York, and attended Boston University’s College of Communication. He values time with his family and children.
