From 2004 until today, the festival No Ar Cototel Molotov has gone through a rewarding trajectory. Organized by Ana Garcia, from Coda Produções, the festival, which was born in Recife in 2004, arose with the need to become a differential in the region, focusing on an artistic program with new bands concerts and revelations. This harmony between public and production has made the No Ar Coquetel Molotov (On Air Cocktail Molotov) grow gradually and has managed to fill the capacity of the place where it has been held in recent years. Growing up every year, the festival becomes a hit with audiences and critics not only for its international programming, but also for the diversity of its local and national attractions. In these more than 15 years of history, the No Ar was in the affective memory of the public for having brought for the first time to Recife important names as the groups Beirut (USA), Teenage Fanclub (Scotland), Tortoise (USA), Nouvelle Vague (França), You Senelameno (Argentina), Peter Bjorn and John (Sweden), Connan Mockasin (New Zealand) and Dinosaur Jr (USA), among many other promising names. In addition to the exchange of international names, artists such as Racionais MCs (SP), Karina Buhr (PE), Marcelo Camelo (RJ), Otto (PE), Baiana System (BA), Rincon Sapiência (SP), Alessandra Leão (PE), Moraes Moreira (BA), Siba (PE) and Lô Borges & Milton Nascimento (MG) have already been the main attractions of the festival in previous years, guaranteeing a perfect balance of musical proposals, public and critical segments, ranging from hip-hop to MPB in a programming that satisfies the
music-savvy public in the state. Currently, the festival prepares for the 2019 edition, which will happen on November 16.
