Robb Stein is an entrepreneur and business leader who has spent many years building and managing companies while also investing in real estate for more than 2 decades. Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he has remained closely connected to the community where he grew up. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing businesses while also supporting charitable efforts and community programs that help strengthen the region.
Stein is the principal owner of the Cincinnati Byrider location, which is part of a nationwide dealership network that sells inspected and reconditioned vehicles. The dealership also offers in-house financing programs designed to help customers establish or rebuild their credit history. These programs report to major credit bureaus, allowing customers to improve their financial standing over time. Across the country, more than one million people have relied on Byrider when purchasing vehicles and seeking financing options that may not be available through traditional lenders.
Alongside this role, Robert Stein serves as President of Derojo, Inc., a Cincinnati-based company that operates across several business areas. The company owns and manages auto dealerships, subprime finance companies, a real estate development group, and a reinsurance company. Its approach often involves identifying opportunities within niche markets where businesses may benefit from additional investment and operational restructuring. By applying new capital and management strategies, the company works to stabilize and grow these ventures.
He also serves as Chairman of Card Sound Reinsurance Group, which specializes in managing specific high-risk exposures that can generate higher returns in favorable tax environments. In addition to this work, he leads another major automotive business. Robert Stein, of Cincinnati, is the President and owner of Alford Motors, Inc., the largest subprime auto dealer group. The company focuses on combining vehicle sales with financing solutions designed for customers who may not qualify for traditional bank loans. Through this model, the organization provides transportation access while helping individuals rebuild their financial profiles.
Outside of his professional work, Robb Stein has remained strongly involved in philanthropy and community service in Cincinnati. He served nearly ten years on the Board of Directors of the StarShine Hospice program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The hospice program provides palliative care for children and young adults with serious illnesses, supporting families by helping ensure comfort and meaningful time together.
Robb also served on the board of Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD) for four years. The organization helps adults with developmental disabilities live independently and participate in the community through housing support, job training, and educational programs.
His community involvement also includes serving as a volunteer leader with the American Heart Association. Over the years, he helped launch the organization’s Young Professional committee and supported fundraising efforts connected to heart health awareness.
Robb Stein earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. Outside of his business and community commitments, he enjoys golf, skiing, boating, and outdoor activities. He has also taken part in endurance challenges, including completing the 29029 Everesting Challenge in Jackson Hole and later summiting Mount Rainier.
