Katori Walker is a socially-conscious hip-hop artist from Pasadena, Ca. Inspired by classic west coast lyrical styles and influences from 2Pac, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar. Katori began rapping at 9 year-olds in, OG’s 3, a hip-hop group with his two brothers, Katorio and Ormoni. His raw non-fictional storytelling style distinguishes him from the sounds of other hip-hop artists of today. Due to the unfortunate gang-related death of his younger brother, Ormoni, Katori has committed his most recent project, IGNORANCE EP, to address the negative, ripple effect gang culture has on families and communities. The IGNORANCE EP was designed to challenge the glorification of inner-city violence and provoke conscious thought in young adults – the EP delivers an authentic quality that resonates with the real hip-hop audience. As a multi-talented artist, Katori engineered and Executive produced the IGNORANCE EP and directed the full-length video. Katori is currently working on multiple projects, including collaborations with other artists.
