Growing up in West London listening to the classics; The Beatles, Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, 19-year-old musician Matilda Mann wrote her first song at the age of eleven. More recently inspired by the likes of Laura Marling, Big Thief and The Staves, her songs, originally written as notes taken from conversations with friends, or those overheard during tube rides and working in a pub, express a wealth of life experience that belie her tender years. Having finished school at Brit, Matilda has spent the last twelve months becoming streetwise with support tours alongside Will Joseph Cook, Beabadoobee and Rosie Carney.
