Old Aircraft to Become Cafe at Southampton Aviation Museum

The front half of a passenger jet was towed through the streets of Southampton towards an aviation museum on Saturday, November 25, according to the Southern Daily Echo. The jet, a BAC 1-11, was being taken to Solent Sky Museum where it will to be turned into a cafe, according to AeroTime. Before being bought by the museum, the jet was at risk of being scrapped after the attraction it was being displayed at in the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Center was closed down, according to the Daily Echo. Due to space constraints, only the cockpit and the forward section of the cabin have been preserved, according to AeroTime. The wings of the plane were also removed. Drone Captures Fall Colors in Hamptons Countryside

Drone footage captured fall colors over Mill Pond, an idyllic setting in Water Mill, a hamlet within the town of Southampton, New York. Footage  shared to YouTube by local photographer Joanna L Steidle on October 11 shows the changing colors in the region. The leaves surrounding Mill Pond were “starting to turn” as Steidle put it, with the region still some time away from peak fall foliage according to local media. Humpback Whale Joins Dolphins in 'Joyful' Chase

A Long Island photographer captured a humpback whale and a pod of dolphins swimming together off the coast of Southampton, New York, on October 3. Joanna Steidle of Hampton Drones told Storyful that she’d been filming the humpback feeding for an hour, 200 yards off the coast, when the dolphins arrived. The humpback quickly joined them, and in the footage, dolphins are seen leaping out of the water in front of the whale.
