My name is Silya. I write songs, i sing them, sometimes i sing other people's songs too if it feels right. I love playing live, i love horns. Sometimes i play ukulele, but most of the time my band The Sailors do the playing since they’re frickin’ amazing! I used to live in New York, now i’m back in Oslo where i’m from and where i’ve discovered i belong. I married my best friend and now we write songs together. I like doing different things, sometimes theatre, sometimes tv, but mostly i love writing and performing my own music. Oh and i don’t like being put in a box.
