The Peterborough Petes are the longest continually operating team in the Ontario Hockey League. Founded in 1956, the Petes have won nine OHL championships and one Memorial Cup. Notable alumni include Scotty Bowman, Steve Yzerman, Roger Neilson, Chris Pronger, Mike Ricci, Eric & Jordan Staal, Nick Ritchie, and nearly 200 other NHL players and coaches.
