The name SharedSpace came to us in a word association brainstorm, and just made sense to us. To us, ‘SHARED’ symbolises the welcoming of different perspectives and disciplines into our community, seeing that there beauty, and room for all sorts of different practices that add joy to one’s life in different ways. ’SPACE’, first and foremost refers literally to our physical space, our studio. But going deeper, we value the space in our hearts to love compassionately, the space to mediate between the personal and interpersonal, the private and communal, and lastly… The space between our thoughts, quietening the mind.
