both is a footwear brand exploring the endless possibilities of one material: rubber. Working from this premise, since 2014 a selection of international collaborators have helped bring the project to life, first through establishing a production base and identifying the market, then in 2016 with the opening of a creative studio and brand headquarters in Paris. Looking to fill a gap in the market for high quality, minimal, durable footwear with a strong identity, both launched its first collection for SS17. Offering a variety of timeless classics with a twist, both focuses on clean shapes and strong forms highlighting balance between simplicity and ingenuity. Mixing exquisite craftsmanship and constant innovation, rubber’s natural plasticity is shaped to the desire of an evolutive European creative team working in Paris. Following the same ethic, both selects the best fabrics and high quality leathers to manufacture shoes to wear every day, both timeless and creative.
