One summer evening in 1921, more precisely on June 3, a number of young people sat in a ditch in Herfølge and discussed the problems of the time. It was common for the youth of the village to gather and gossip about all sorts of problems. The football game came into the discussion, and voices were raised about having the game introduced in the village. There was not far from thought to action.
