HC Frýdek-Místek is a Silesian ice hockey club founded in 1976 as the successor to TJ Válcovny Plechu. Since 1991, with the exception of five years (2004-2009) when the club sold its license to Salith Šumperk, it has been a regular participant in the 2nd league. Starting from the 2015-2016 season, the club has closely collaborated with the Extraliga team HC Oceláři Třinec. In the 2015/2016 season, the club successfully advanced to the 1st hockey league.
