The illuminations stretching across Wakayama Keyaki Boulevard create the world of a shining parade. Our wishes are for the street to shine like a spectacular parade through the beautiful lights. Light UP does not only mean "turning on the lights", but also "Light you up! Light me up!" and "Light up wakayama!", which means " Shine Wakayama!". The desire of this project is to create an exciting city together with everyone in Wakayama, using the Hikari no Keyaki Boulevard as a starting point, and to make the important people next door, the guests and their own city shine. This is the wish of each and every one of us. The Keyaki Light Parade is a project to brighten up Wakayama with the support of Wakayama City, businesses and shops related to Wakayama, and volunteers from the local residents of the prefecture. It will surely play an indispensable role in the realisation of "Wakayama connected by light".
