The Hungarian Student Union of Cluj was founded in January 1990, and, legally incorporated, today it still exists, representing and protecting the interests of the Hungarian students from Romania, supporting the idea of developing a Hungarian educational system at European level, also having several contacts with other student organizations from Romania and abroad. HSUK believes that the relationship between the minorities and majority should be characterized by mutual understanding and confidence, the respect of the national traditions and culture as well as the equality in right of all the citizens of the country structure.
