Elaine Stephenson is an artist from Roswell, GA now living in Decatur. She has been a graphic designer for over 10 years, but has been painting since an early age. She studied graphic design at the University of Georgia, which ignited her love for typography, lettering and composition. She also received a foundation in fine art which has inspired her latest shift back to painting, which she realizes is her true calling. Her work varies between digital graphics, acrylic paintings, and murals. Elaine is also becoming more involved in public art and has several permanent artworks around Atlanta. Public art is exciting to her because it is a chance to create work that whole communities participate in and can feel ownership of.
