“Fun & family first” might have been the two best pieces of advice we received from the original “Andy” when we had the opportunity to open Andy’s Diner at the Minnesota State Fair in 1987. That advice still holds true today. The name Andy's originated from a nickname of our last name Andrus. Teamwork and a good sense of humor keep our family going during the hectic pace of the annual 12 day event. The 4 of us, all siblings, now run the business, but the original Andy and Mrs. Andy still help out. All of our children have worked at the fair and can’t imagine a summer without the fair in their lives. ​ Today, Andy's Grille has grown with a beer garden. Still famous for "Everything Philly" — including the BEST Philly Cheese Steak at the Minnesota State Fair — we now have an expansive Craft Beer selection as well as Adult Slushies and Floats. Andy's advice of "fun and family first" still rings true and we continue to dance every hour on the hour to Grease Ligntning. Come for the food and drinks, stay for the fun...tell your friends you want to "Meet at Andy's!"
